Dream Logic Tarot

The year ahead

Thirteen cards: one for each month around a card for the year's theme.

A wheel of twelve cards, one for each month, laid clockwise from the top, around a thirteenth card for the year's theme. Traditionally dealt at the turn of the year or on a birthday, it is less a forecast than a calendar of moods: something to return to month by month.

Reading the spread as a whole

Turn the centre card first — it colours everything. Then read the months in order, or simply the month you are in. Look for suits that run for several months together; that is a season. Do not read a hard card in a distant month as a sentence: the spread describes weather, and weather changes.
